The Vice President and councillors still haven’t made their tax returns public

José Ramón Bauzá is the only member of the Government to have fulfilled its own commitment to publish members tax returns each year. The rest of the government have published nothing since 2011: members of the government who were councillors on that date, include Gabriel Company and Antonio Gómez, and some councillors who were then CEOs, like José Vicente Marí, Martí Sansaloni, Jaime Martínez and Núria Riera.

Despite the promises of absolute transparency, and in precisely the same week that the government of Mariano Rajoy introduced its Transparency Portal, a quick look at the PP website shows that their commitment to publishing the tax returns has not been a high priority.

In 2011 they made public statements of income for 179 senior PP personnel, including even some mayors; two years later, the only tax returns that appear on the PP website are those of the 34 deputies to the Parliament.
