The Sub-committee on Planning of the Ayuntamiento de Vila, created to find a solution to the problems caused by the sewage outlet near to Talamanca beach, met today for the first time and agreed to urge the Balearic Ministry of the Environment and the Agència Balear de l’Aigua i la Qualitat Ambiental (Abaqua) for the “urgent and immediate” replacement of the sewage outlet near to Talamanca. This piece of infrastructure has broken again today. This is the third time that this has happened since the month of September and has again caused the closure of the beach.
The mayor of Vila, Virginia Marí, appeared before the media accompanied by the spokespeople for the other political groups in the Consistory. “We have decided to unite to stand up to the problem, because it belongs to all citizens of Eivissa” said the mayor.
