10 Alternative Ibiza Activities

If you get easily bored just laying around at the beach, going out for nice meals… and one night of clubbing in a big discotheque is enough for one holiday – why not check out some alternative activities you can do during your time in Ibiza, here’s a list of some different suggestions…

1 – Escape Rooms Ibiza
Where: Via Púnica, 4, 07800, Ibiza Town
When: Reservations available between 10am – 10pm daily (every two hours) advanced booking is advised.
About: Escape rooms Ibiza is a fun interactive experience, where you and your team mates are tasked with escaping from within a themed room in the space of an hour! The clock is ticking and there are clues to be had – so enjoy this immersive  board game experience – it’s so much fun, available to play in English and Spanish and there are 5 different themed rooms to choose from…. 2 – Cascades Spa Experience  – Na Xemena
Where: La Posidonia Spa, Na Xamena, s/n, 07815 San Miguel, Islas Baleares
When: 12:30pm – 5:30pm daily, you must book in advance
About: If you’re looking for a quintessentially Ibizan Spa Experience to remember, why not try the Na Xemena Cascades in the North of the island? You can enjoy a spectacular journey around the infinity spa pools of the cliffs edge (that boast an amazing unique Ibiza view) each pool is designed to focus the water massage on a different part of your body – leaving you holistically rejuvenated by the time you get out, to enjoy your delicious food. There are three packages to choose from, lunch, dinner or pica pica – a very romantic setting to enjoy the delicious fresh food. Tip – try and book in high season, when temperatures are at their hottest, because around May and September time, getting in and out of the pools can be a little chilly!

3 – Hippies Bongo Session at Benirras Beach
Where: Benirras Beach (north of the island, easily accesssed via San Miguel)
When: Every Sunday as the Sun starts to set
About: Arguably one of the most beautiful beaches on the island, Benirras is packed out every Sunday for the hippy bongo session that starts as the sun begins to set – enjoy the live music and chilled vibes; authentic Ibiza at it’s best.

4 – Sunset Strip @ San Antonio
Where: Every evening at Sunset
When: Every Sunday as the Sun starts to set
About: Made famous by the likes of Cafe Del Mar and Cafe Mambo – experiencing a sun set in San Antonio’s ‘sun set strip’ is an classic  Ibiza activity. Enjoy the street performers, chill out music and the communal applause from the crowd as the sun finally disappears and the party begins.

5 – Visit to Es Vedra
Where: Cala D’Hort – South West
When: Whenever you want – you need to organise transportation to get there.
About: Probably the most iconic view in Ibiza, the most magnetic energy in Europe and a magic it’s hard to put into words… You can view Es Vedra from a few different vantage points around the South West Coast of the island –  it’s in perfect position for sunset and is an absolutely must-see.

6 – Visit to Time & Space Sunset Sundial
Where: Cala Llentia – South West
When: Whenever you want – you need to organise transportation to get there.
About: Newly erected by the new owner of Heart Club, ‘Sunset Sundial’ or ‘Sunset Stone Henge’ as it’s also known, has been gifted to the public and is a beautiful place to have picnic, go for a hike, or watch the sun go down.

7 – Guided Dramatic Tour of Ibiza Old Town
Where: The tour is based around Dalt Vila, you will start at the bottom of Portal de Ses Taules (at the big gate) and work your way up close to the top of Dalt Vila.
When: Every Saturday night at 7pm – although you will need to be at the big gate (right in front of The Croissant Show to meet the Tour Guide at 6:45pm at least). You need to book by calling 971 399 232 or email informacioturistica@eivissa.es to register ahead of the tour, you will need to say how many people will be in your group and they will take your contact number incase of any cancellations.

8 – Water Sports at Beach
Where: Calle de la Platja de S’Estanyol, Carrer de la Cala de Bou, 07830 St Antoni
When: Whenever you want – although group booking is advised.
About: Ever wanted to try flyboarding? Or play in the sea with inflatables? Take a banana boat or jet ski out for the day? Well great news is Ibiza Watersport have a whole range of adrenaline inducing Water Sports to choose from, they have group packages and as well as single experiences.

9 – Go Karts @ Santa Eulalia
Where: Ctra Ibiza a Santa Eulalia km 6
When: Daily from 10am – 8pm during the Summer Season, booking is strongly advised.
About: Enjoy a thrilling experience and of racing around the track in Santa Eulalia’s super quick Go Kart track – packages are available for groups – an ideal activity for families or stag dos.

10 – Catch an English Movie @ Teatro de España
Where: Calle San Jaume, Santa Eulalia des Riu, 07840
When: Check the timetable by clicking the link here. Any movies with the letters V.O.S.E are Original language (usually English) films.
About: Teatro de España on Santa Eulalia’s main high street shows up to a half a dozen English films each month, so if you have an odd rainy day to kill – or are soothing off some sunburn – why not take a look?
