Iconic selfie spots – Classic landmarks for your photo

No trip to Ibiza is complete without great selfies to share on your Facebook, Instagram or Tumblr. After all, you want your friends and family to see how much fun you’re having and what they’re missing out on! With that in mind, we’ve come up with a list of classic Ibiza sights that will instantly tell the world you’re having a fabulous time on the white island.

Dalt Vila

You absolutely must get a selfie with the towering walls of Dalt Vila and the cathedral as a backdrop. Our favourite spot to shoot this view is from the Mercado Viejo, next to Croissant Show. Looking up from there the silhouette of the cathedral and the walls makes an impressive view that you cannot mistake for anywhere else.

If you’re here to party you have to snap a shot of yourself on the dancefloor at Pacha, with the iconic cherry logo in the shot. Every night offers stunning light shows, gorgeous dancers, and a packed house of people from all over the world, making it the perfect place to show off your experience of Ibiza’s famous nightlife.

Marina Botafoc

For the ultimate glamour shot, head to Marina Botafoc and strike a pose next to the biggest, sleekest yacht you can find. During the summer Ibiza is a magnet for some of the world’s most luxurious yachts and taking a photo is free! You can add a fun touch to this by wearing a sailor hat, white slacks and a striped tee-shirt; or dolling up in your best party dress and pretending you’ve just walked off the boat.

Es Vedra

No trip to Ibiza is complete with a trip to the magic rock. The islet of Es Vedra is reputed to be the third most magnetic place on earth, and there are all kinds of stories about mysterious lights and stranger energies. Whether you believe any of that or not, it is a stunning landmark that will make your holiday snap sizzle. One of the best views is from the overlook, which you reach by taking a left turn (it’s signposted) at the top of the hill before Cala d’Hort. A brief drive down the track brings you to a parking area. From there walk a few minutes till you reach the top of the cliffs facing Es Vedra. If you’re feeling adventurous you can hike up the hillside to the ancient pirate tower for an amazing view.

Sunset Strip, Sant Antoni

Complete your selfie selection with a shot from Ibiza’s world famous sunset strip. Enjoy the glorious view of the sinking sun while sipping a beer on the rocks, or splurge on a cocktail at Mambo or Cafe del Mar while DJs play chilled-out tunes.

The island is packed with beauty spots, from dappled pine woods to turquoise seas to striking villas. You’ll want to record every bit of it – Read here our top tips for photography in Ibiza.

Our final tip: At the end of a long day of sight-seeing put your phone away, grab a beer, and watch the world go by.
