Tandem Intercambio / Language Exchange Ibiza

Are you feeling like it’s about time that you brushed up your language skills?
But you don’t have time or money for formal classes? Well great news! In Ibiza, Tandem Intercambio – (or language exchange) is taking place every Thursday night in Playa D’en Bossa and the best thing is – it’s free!

Where: Food Factory, Av. Pere Matutes Noguera, Playa D’en Bossa, 63, 07800 Eivissa, Illes Balears
When: Every Thursday night from 8pm
What: Tandem Intercambio at Food Factory, Ibiza – is a great place to go and practise your language skills. The bar-come-restaurant has a really nice warm, friendly, family feel – that makes you feel right at home if you’re a little bit nervous to be practising your target language.
What languages can I practise there?
You can practise any language you want! The majority of people are there to improve either their Spanish or English, but if you’re target language is something different and you’re lucky enough to find another event-goer who speaks it… then practise away! The idea is to exchange; that everyone’s learning and is patient and there to help one another.

So, what’s the format?
Well, when you arrive at Food Factory, you could grab a drink at the bar and head towards the back of the restaurant where you’ll find a teacher/host and the other participants arriving for the Intercambio. The teacher/host is lovely and affable, and is there to keep the conversation flowing in both languages, and ensure that the activities keep moving and everyone’s enjoying it. The activities could be anything from a simple conversation, to board games, such as taboo and pictionary, or traditional party games like charades and there’s even sometimes karaoke! One of the best things about this language exchange is that there’s no entrance fee, it’s free to join and you don’t have to make a commitment… You can come along whenever you want, enjoy a drink, some food from the delicious menu and make some new friends.
