About: The exhibition focuses on unique Spanish comics between 1973 and 1982. In these exhibition you can see also some unknown comics, which copies were prohibited during the Franco’s dictatorship, like the comics published by the group of revolutionary authors ‘El Rrollo Enmascarado’. The show also includes pieces from ‘El Jueves’ and ‘El Víbora’, among many others.

BILL VIOLA EXHIBITION
When: Tuesday to Sunday from 10am to 10pm
Where: Las Naves Salinas
About: As part of its ongoing mission to bring cutting edge, international art to Ibiza, La Nave Salinas presents two pieces of renowned contemporary video artist Bill Viola, ‘Fire Woman’ and ‘Tristan’s Ascensions’.

PATRON SAINT OF LADY CARMEN
When: 16th of July
Where: Ibiza Town & San Antonio, Formentera & Es Cubells
About: Ibiza celebration of ‘La Virgen del Carmen’, honouring the patron saint of fishermen, is a colourful celebration! It starts with a traditional procession in which the statue of the virgin is carried from the church to the port. Then the statue is taken on board a boat that has been beautifully decorated for the occasion. This boat is followed out to the sea by a procession of similarly adorned fishing boats, while in the port the celebration continues with folk dances, food and drinks.

JIMMY NELSON – HOMAGE TO HUMANITY
When: 17th of July from 7:30pm
Where: Agroturismo Atzaro
About: Atzaro welcomes internationally acclaimed Jimmy Nelson with an exhibition showcasing some of the photographer’s finest works from his ‘Homage to Humanity’ collection. The exhibition opening will also feature live music, drinks and an introduction by Jimmy Nelson himself.
